Pregnancy testing before chemotherapy

Question:
Is it felt necessary to routinely perform pregnancy testing for all women of childbearing age before beginning neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemotherapy (breast cancer)?

Answer:
To the best of our knowledge, the test is not performed routinely-only when the woman suspects that she may be pregnant.
